Counselor’s speaker returned, culprit may still be at large

By Simon Baker | City of Thomson, Howe County

Monday morning, as the Doolittle County citizens waited for breakfast, counselor Jacob Malinowski announced the theft of a speaker from a fellow counselor. The group stood in silence, waiting for the culprit of this crime to come forward despite Malinowski’s statement that the group would not leave until the thief came forward.

As the county stood waiting, it was learned that the speaker was stolen from counselor Alex on the second floor but the time it was stolen was still yet to be determined.

Although no one came forward with any information or as the culprit, the county still went to breakfast.

Between the morning breakfast and through the first special discussions, someone returned the speaker to its spot without coming forward to the rest of the group.

While the speaker was returned, no one quite knows who the culprit was, and it has everyone in the county questioning the safety of their own property. As citizens of Badger Boys State, it is important to remember to respect everyone else’s property, the property of Ripon and respect others around you.

If you have any information on the individual who stole the speaker in Doolittle county, or if you would like to come forward, please talk to your counselor as it is important to be addressed.

Also, if you have any problems of theft in any county let someone in your county know. Those responsible for these acts should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law here at BBS.
