With sports in full swing, one of the most interesting events at Badger Boys State is the Euchre tournament.

For the citizens that don’t know what Euchre is, it is a card game played with four players, two being on each team. Each pair plays with a 24-32 card deck.

In fact, Euchre is responsible for the Joker card, as it is necessary for the game. Most counties have a Euchre team, and things are looking good for some competitive games.

If you would like to watch the tournament, head down to the Willmore Center lobby during recreation time.

However, not all citizens are on board with its inclusion in the recreational time games.

Theo Rauch, a citizen from the City of Goodland in Sawyer County, said “I don’t really think there should be a Euchre tournament, it’s a game for the older generation.”
