NBA finals bring unity, division among citizens following Drake’s actions

With the perennial powerhouse Golden State Warriors on the brink of elimination and the streak of three-straight NBA Championships on the line, the Warriors head north of the border to clash with the upset-minded Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors have notably shared the spotlight this post-season with global ambassador, Drake. The impact of Drake’s actions is heard across the continental United States, with numerous Wisconsin radio stations joining other states banning Drake’s music across all radio stations.

Closer to Badger Boys State, citizens like Miles Boswell, City of Knowles in Carpenter County, find a common interest relating to the NBA Finals.

“It’s a good ice breaker for people, something to talk about with strangers,” Boswell said. “The Finals are something that lets you get to know some similarities between citizens.”

Other citizens like Jacob Tietyen, City of Fairchild in Durkee County, say their enjoyment of this post-season has been hindered.

“I refrain from watching the Finals because of Drake and his antics,” Tietyen said. “His actions are inappropriate and there is no place for it on an NBA sideline.”

Game 5 of the NBA Finals is slated to tip off at 8 PM Monday (airing on ABC), with Games 6 and 7 (if necessary) airing on Thursday and Sunday.
