BBS utilizes technology to inform, improve week-long experience

By Sam Schoonover | City of Blaine, Cameron County

Throughout the week at Badger Boys State, counselors and support staff will utilize numerous technological resources to communicate, inform and entertain all of the citizens.

Remind, an educational services app, is used very often to communicate events, emergencies and any other need-to-know information quickly and effectively. The BBS press corps also utilizes a variety of machines and software to produce our content. Later in the week, the BBS press corps will also be debuting news segments to deliver news to citizens in a different medium.

Outside of the Press Corps, BBS contains many more technological tools that create efficiency in our day to day. Lining the walls of Pickard Commons, citizens can see QR codes posted around, allowing citizens to easily select their Schools of Instruction without any hassle.

Citizens are also encouraged to use their phones when appropriate to share experiences and talk with other like-minded citizens to discuss courses, information and most importantly, maps.

The BBS Press Corps posts articles to bugle.badgerboysstate.com, and various articles may also be posted to the Badger Boys State social media accounts throughout the week in various areas such as news, opinion, and entertainment.
