Last night’s Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals proved, to the Toronto Raptors’ dismay, that it “ain’t over until it’s over.”
The Golden State Warriors have one of the greatest small forwards of all time while two-time MVP Kevin Durant is now back on the sidelines after injuring his Achilles again. Durant only played 12 minutes during the 106-105 Warriors win in Toronto.
There is widespread criticism regarding the Warriors decision to play Durant, with him already having injured his calf earlier in the playoffs. Durant’s injury is believed to be a tear in the Achilles, the same injury that kept his fellow teammate, Demarcus Cousins, sidelined for a year.
The Golden State win has many citizens excited for the potential comeback as the final games draw near.
“I want the Warriors to win because the Raptors dethroned the Bucks,” said Theo Rauch, a member of the City of Goodland in Sawyer County. “I enjoy watching Klay Thompson because of his humility and the fact that he doesn’t boast about his major role in the Warriors success.”
The Warriors head back to Oakland for Game 6 and a potential Game 7 will be in Toronto if necessary.
