Dylan Bradley is hoping to become Badger Boys State Governor. He is from Mequon, Wisconsin, and represents the City of Fairchild in Durkee County here at Badger Boys State. I was granted an exclusive interview with him.
Jacob T: First off, Thank you for meeting with me. I won’t keep you too long because I know you had a long day.
Dylan Bradley: Yeah. No problem.
JT: Just an icebreaker question, if you can have any superpower, what superpower would you have and why?
DB: Good question. It would be the ability to be multiple places at once. I feel I sacrifice too much time in order to be in some places. I want to be able to go to everything I want.
JT: Why did you decide to run for Governor?
DB: I decided to run for Governor because I was afraid. I was afraid that there was going to be someone better. That thought became almost a fear or sorts. I needed to run so I could face that [fear].
JT: Why do believe that you should be Governor/ Why should people vote for you?
DB: I think I am qualified because I have experience. I know people. I lead my Boy Scout troop. I lead in band and DECA Organization. This gives me the opportunity to provide a platform and a friend to Badger Boys State. I came in with a goal to make friends. Not boost myself up, but to make friends.
JT: You mentioned DECA. What does that mean?
DB: DECA used to be acronym. It is a business club on the international level. It helps with public speaking skills.
JT: You also mentioned you were a leader in band. How so?
DB: I play the tenor [saxophone] and I will be up for head chair next year for the tenors.
JT: Last question, what are your plans for after Badger Boys State, and high school?
DB: My plans are to pursue Aerospace Engineering. I want to go to Purdue or Iowa State, and to take on a leadership position with either Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, and other Aerospace focused companies.
JT: Thank you for granting the interview, and good luck in elections.
