Badger Boys State’s competitive sports resumed once again during Thursday afternoon’s recreation time and continued into Friday as well.

Citizens were excited for the opportunity to compete once more and this excitement translated into the matches themselves.

In one basketball game, Cameron County lost on a go-ahead basket with under 15 seconds left, causing the Willmore Center Gym to erupt in cheers.

On Friday afternoon, the cross country race was held, with Mitchell County’s very own Kaden winning the 5k race with a time of 17 minutes and 15 seconds. Also held on Friday, was the swimming competition as well as the weight lifting competition, both of which had many participants.

After Friday’s recreation time, sports wrapped up for the week. The cumulative results of the competitions as a whole will be revealed on Saturday, and one county will be crowned the winner of the BBS athletic competitions.

Overall, sports at BBS have been immensely popular and entertaining for the citizens, whether they participate or not.
