The time is drawing near for cities to start nominating and choosing delegates who they think best fit the offices citizens are running for.
Plenty of ideas are flowing through the cities as citizens begin to organize their campaigns and wait for voting to begin. Although these ideas and debates are small now, they are critical building blocks of the government here at Badger Boys State in the race for the creation of the 51st state.
These races are open to every citizen on campus, except for those participating in Press Corps, because it would be considered a conflict of interest.
A determined few will find themselves in office and possibly in higher levels of the BBS government. These races let citizens express how they think the different levels should run and how they think they can make the State of Badger better than what it currently is.
These opportunities are what BBS is all about and give citizens the chance to see the guts of local government.
As the week progresses, the race for office positions will heat up and only the best of the best are going to land themselves as leaders of BBS.
This week will undoubtedly give citizens life skills and experiences they will never forget.
