Citizens look forward to positive week ahead despite rough start

By Phillip Balch | City of Taylor, Doolittle County

Many citizens were eager to talk about what fun they had with the early check in at the first day of Badger Boys State.

Citizens from Mitchell County were really excited to talk about their worries related to the upcoming session.

When asked how they felt about the sessions so far, Hunter Kanzelberger, a citizen in the City of Rennebahm in Mitchell County, talked about the motivational aspects of the session while Isaiah Therin, a citizen in the City of Rennebahm in Mitchell County, noted some more negative aspects.

Therin aggressively shouted “Wow, there are so many things I could fix in [the dorms]!”

Another citizen, Tyler Katzenberger from the City of Schmedeman in Mitchell County, said he was frustrated when citizens get locked out of their residence halls. Other citizens from Mitchell County criticized the food and potential lack of diversity in what the salad bar may hold this week.

Citizens did begin to add positive comments and ideas regarding BBS as the day came to an end, with some of them feeling like they are already becoming leaders.
