Tuesday night we held our party conventions. Some speeches were better than others.
The slogans in general were stellar. Wednesday, we heard some of our best candidates’ slogans during the primary. However, I wanted to highlight some of the Nationalist party’s best slogans according to the Badger Boys State Press Corps, in case they didn’t make it to the primaries.
#1: Fair Law is Cole’s Law
We loved this slogan because of the wordplay as well as the groans it elicited from the audience. The casual lowering of the sunglasses may have been against the rules. However, it made the slogan just that much better.
#2: Be a Bro vote for Joe
This slogan was okay because of the use of the hip kids’ lingo. However, a recommendation for all future slogans: don’t use the word vote in a slogan.
#3: Twice as easy vote for Sweazy
The most basic rhyme scheme possible continued in this slogan. This is the point after which slogans become mediocre.
#4: Best overall Vote Mitchell Paul
Once more unto the repetitive rhyme scheme. At this point, me, mentioning the rhyme scheme is becoming repetitive.
#5: Gabe the Babe for Secretary of State
At the very least, this slogan used hip lingo. Another offender of the rhyme scheme rule, this was the last of the mediocre slogans.
This is all we could find for the best slogans of the Nationalist party. I’m sure the Federalist party had good slogans as well, but I will have to wait until the primaries to hear them.
