College admissions discussion provides help, confuses some with potentially misleading name

On Sunday, in the Harwood Memorial Building Great Hall, a somewhat controversial speech was given about college admissions.
The intended purpose of this special discussion was to to inform the citizens of Badger Boys State, who will be seniors in the upcoming high school year, about the process of applying for college.
However, a large majority of the special discussion was spent with the head of college admissions at Ripon discussing life at Ripon College. This led to a few complaints in individual counties since the name of the special discussion was “College Admissions” and not “ Ripon Admissions.”
Throughout the presentation, there were many discussions concerning the requirements for applying at Ripon college.
Some citizens attending the meeting were disappointed by the failure to discuss admissions at other colleges. After the presentation, some people complained about the content of the training.
Yet, others thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. These citizens claimed the information of the discussion was valuable and would have been difficult to obtain without touring the campus.
These citizens also seemed to appreciate the inside tips on how to apply to Ripon college. One citizen from Howe County summed up the situation by saying that the overall presentation was great, but the name was misleading.
The speech also included a few examples of what not to do during the application process for college. The speaker gave several humorous examples of errors that she has seen in the past by candidates applying to Ripon College.
