The candidates for the Nationalists State Party Convention, that took place in Willmore Assembly Hall Tuesday evening, looked to yield high potential for the Nationalists Party.

While each candidate was qualified for the position they were running for, some candidates stuck out more during the convention.

Alvin Kalappurackal, from the City of MacArthur, is running for the position of State Treasurer and had one of the most effective speeches which was evident by the two standing ovations from the audiences. One of reasons why it was so effective was because of how different it was from the rest of his candidates.

Unlike his competitors, Alvin made multiple pop culture references, was naturally hilarious and undoubtedly raw. These three items completely separated Alvin from his competitors, enabling him to become an instant crowd favorite.

Another crowd favorite was Deniz, or commonly known as “Deniz with a Z.” Deniz is from the City of Scofield and is currently running for the position of Governor. He was already a crowd favorite even before giving his speech since the crowd was already screaming his name.

Deniz is typically associated with the XXXXXL shirts he wears. During his speech he explained the reason for wearing them.

“I wear these shirts because I can fill big positions,” Deniz said.

After this Deniz walked off the stage and the audience proceeded to give him a standing ovation.

The reason these speeches were so effective and memorable was because of how different they were from the typical speeches. While everyone was describing mundane qualifications for their position, these two candidates went above and beyond to become memorable.
